The Energy Wise project promotes the adoption of renewable energy sources (RES) and energy efficiency (EE) practices in the rural tourism sector of the Skopje Planning Region.

The project supports rural tourism stakeholders—including small business owners, accommodation providers, youth and women entrepreneurs—in adopting more sustainable and energy-efficient solutions.

By combining knowledge, practical guidance and capacity building, Energy Wise aims to contribute to greener economic development, sustainable tourism and stronger climate resilience across rural communities.

Together, we can make rural tourism more sustainable, energy-smart and future-ready.

Project implementation began in February and will continue through December 2026, implemented by Center for Sustainable Development ALKA in partnership with Fondacia Albiz.

The project is realised within the BOOST Balkans programme, supported by ALDA Balkans and AFD – Agence Française de Développement.
