Mr. Samir Memedov, Environmental engineer
Mr. Samir Memedov brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the forefront, having spearheaded the We Effect’s Programme for Europe, with a focus on Environment, Climate Change, and Resilience. His exceptional knowledge in Sustainable Development, extensive engagement with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and a competitive background in spearheading nationally owned initiatives with broad stakeholder involvement, position him as a key figure in supporting pre-accession countries to align their environmental and climate agenda with EU policies.
As an environmental engineer and holder of a Master’s degree in environmental economics, Mr. Memedov has contributed his skills to various entities, including environmental CSOs, the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning, UNDP, GIZ, and a Swedish development organization. His roles as both an international and national consultant in the fields of environment and climate change reflect the breadth of his experience.
Mr. Memedov played a pivotal role in coordinating the development process of the National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) and took the lead in envisioning the national transformation for the year 2050, specifically within the energy and climate sectors. His multifaceted contributions underscore a steadfast dedication to advancing environmental sustainability, promoting climate resilience, and championing inclusive development.
