The Sanus Association is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 1996 in Prijedor. and since has been engaged in environmental issues, promoting the principles of tolerance, understanding and cooperation, supporting the active involvement of citizens in local policy and decision making.
It is involved in many campaigns and coalitions that operate mainly at the state level by providing support to critical situations related to pollution, such as the Coalition for the Protection of Rivers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Coalition for the Protection of the Sana River, etc. Today, one of the many shortcomings is the insufficient interest of the local public for environment protection, as well as the lack of professional and organizational capacities.
