Specific Objectives Of The Proposed Project Are:
To develop activation techniques of resources through the reuse of waste materials and the zero-waste concept for the purpose of flood control and disaster management in contemporary cities in Serbia using nature-based blue-green engineering solutions.
To select and investigate municipal and industrial wastes generated in Serbia suitable for production of building materials specific for multifunctional pavements (for surface runoff reduction, urban flood protection and simultaneous pollutant removal), such as: blast furnace slag from steel and copper production, fly ash, solidified hazardous and non-hazardous waste, paper-mill pulp, cathode ray tube glass, etc.
To enable cooperation and knowledge exchange of experts from different scientific and engineering background and experience creating a common vision and distributing the dissemination of project results to various audiences through targeted activities, clustering with related projects and initiatives, aiming to spread the Ø-Waste-Water concept.
To develop a long-term vision roadmap on the market uptake and the engagement of local stakeholders.
