The kick-off meeting of the SENCO project partners was held in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, bringing together representatives of the partner organisations to launch the joint implementation of the project.
During the meeting, the partners presented their respective work packages and planned activities, established the Project Steering Committee, and agreed on the next steps and work plan for the upcoming period. The discussions provided an opportunity to clarify responsibilities and ensure a coordinated approach to the implementation of the project.
SENCO is a project focused on energy transition, funded by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) within the European Climate Initiative (EUKI), implemented by GIZ. The project aims to promote and establish innovative renewable energy community models and support the development of the prosumer concept through decentralised renewable energy solutions and stronger involvement of local communities in the energy transition process.
The project brings together LIR Evolucija from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Centre for Sustainable Development ALKA from North Macedonia, and Co-PLAN Institute for Habitat Development from Albania. The project started on 1 April 2026 and will run for 29 months.
The kick-off meeting in Banja Luka marked an important first step towards establishing a common understanding of the project’s objectives, activities and responsibilities. It also laid a strong foundation for effective cooperation among the partners throughout the implementation of SENCO.
